Farmer Ed’s Enchanted Light Trail – Booking Guidelines & FAQs 2025

Farmer Ed’s Enchanted Light Trail is new to Piglets Adventure Farm! Here’s everything you need to know before you step into a sparkling world of festive magic.

What’s included in my Enchanted Light Trail ticket?

With your ticket you’ll:

  • Stroll through a twinkling illuminated trail filled with dazzling light displays and festive scenes.
  • Discover magical interactive installations perfect for family photos.
  • Toast marshmallows at our cosy firepits.
  • Enjoy festive food and drink stalls with hot chocolates, mulled wine, pizzas, and sweet treats in our Alpine Lodge.
  • Soak up the Christmas cheer with seasonal music and Farmer Ed’s festive surprises along the way.

Please note: The Adventure Park, play areas, and daytime farm activities are not included in this evening event.

Arrival & Duration

When should we arrive?
Please arrive 15 minutes before your booked entry slot to allow time for parking and check-in.

How long does the Light Trail last?
Most visitors take 40 - 60 minutes to complete the trail, depending on pace (and how many stops you make for photos and marshmallows!).

What time does the site close?
Last entry is at 8.00pm and the event closes at 9:00pm.

Can I come earlier in the day to enjoy the Adventure Farm?
No – this is a separate evening event, and daytime admission is not included.

 

 

Tickets & Booking

How do I book tickets?
Tickets are online only and must be pre-booked via our website. Walk-ins are only permitted if there is space, we strongly advise to pre-book.

When do tickets go on sale?
Tickets go live on Monday 3rd November 2025.

Do members get a discount?
Yes – all annual members receive a 10% discount code, emailed early November 2025.

Refunds & Transfers
Tickets are non-refundable. If you created an account at checkout, you can transfer your tickets online for a £2 fee. Without an account, email info@pigletsadventurefarm.com or call 01904 499183 (a £5 transfer fee applies).

Weather & Storm Policy

Does the Light Trail run in bad weather?
Yes – the event continues in rain, cold, and wintry weather. Please dress warmly and wear suitable footwear.

Storm Policy (2025 Update):
If the Met Office issues a Yellow,  Amber or Red weather warning that makes it unsafe to open, Piglets Adventure Farm may close for the evening.

  • If this happens, we’ll contact you by email/text.
  • You’ll be offered a free transfer to another available date, or a full refund if no dates remain.
  • Please check your email and our social media channels for updates.

 

Food & Drink

What food & drink will be available?
In our Alpine Lodge there are festive food stalls will be serving:

  • Hot chocolates, mulled wine, and winter warmers.
  • Fresh pizzas, hot dogs, and burgers.
  • Sweet treats, churros, and marshmallow-toasting kits.

Can I bring my own food?
Picnics are not permitted at this evening event.

Practical Information

Is the trail accessible?
Yes – the path is wheelchair and pushchair friendly, though some areas may be muddy in wet weather.

Can I bring my dog?
Yes we welcome dogs to this event.  All dogs need to be kept on a lead at all times. 

Are toilets available?
Yes – toilets (including accessible toilets and baby-changing facilities) are available near the trail entrance and exit.

What should we wear?
Dress for winter evenings – coats, hats, gloves, wellies, or sturdy shoes are recommended.

Is parking available?
Yes – free parking is available on-site, a short walk from the Light Trail entrance.

Do I need a parking ticket?
No – parking is included with your admission.
